Airbnb partners with Lake Light Sculpture Festival to support regional tourism
Lake Light Sculpture Festival is pleased to announce a new partnership with Airbnb ahead of its 2026 event on the Lake Jindabyne foreshore. The collaboration will help strengthen regional visitation during the Easter period and support local businesses across the Snowy Mountains.
As Lake Light Sculpture celebrates its 25th anniversary, partnering with Airbnb enhances the festival’s ability to welcome visitors from near and far, encouraging longer stays and deeper engagement with the region.
“Airbnb hosts are locals who want to help people explore and enjoy the best their community has to offer. We’re pleased to support events like this one, which bring people together and showcase what makes this region so special,” said Susan Wheeldon, Country Manager of Airbnb Australia and New Zealand.
Lake Light Sculpture attracted more than 25,000 visitors in 2025, offering sculptural installations and twilight activations. The partnership will contribute to key improvements across the event, including digital development, new on-site infrastructure, signature night-time celebrations and enhanced marketing efforts. It will also introduce an Airbnb Community / Local Award, recognising local contribution and reinforcing the festival’s commitment to place.
“Airbnb is proud to partner with the Lake Light Sculpture Festival and play a role in delivering such an enjoyable experience for attendees. It’s also an opportunity for visitors to discover more of what the region has to offer, providing local businesses with an important economic boost during the quieter months,” Ms Wheeldon said.
Lake Light Sculpture will take place 3–6 April 2026, with artist entries and community involvement now open.
