Artist Bio: Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s Community Connections Groups are funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) to deliver a centre-based respite art and craft program. Participants gather weekly from across the Snowy Monaro region, connecting older residents and people supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Through collaborative art-making, the group fosters connection, wellbeing and creative expression. Their work weaves together shared stories and the region’s seasonal landscapes, celebrating inclusion, belonging and the ability of art to create a meaningful sense of sanctuary.
